The climate of El Gouna (Egypt)
The luxurious seaside resort of El Gouna was founded in 1996 with the
sole purpose to increase tourism. A large number of luxurious hotels
can be found here where guests enjoy the sunny climate of El Gouna.
During the winter temperatures almost always rise above 20 degrees
Celsius during the day and the sun shines exuberantly. The sea water
of the Red Sea is pleasant all year round with temperatures of 21-22
degrees Celsius during the coldest period. During the summer and the
autumn the temperature of the water reaches 26 degrees Celsius. With
only three millimeters of rain per year El Gouna is one of the driest
places in Egypt.
