The climate of Carcassonne (France)
Carcassonne is the capital of the region of Languedoc Roussillon and
is situated on the river Aude. This is one of the warmest regions of
France. Carcassonne is a beautiful medieval town that has remained
unimpaired. That is why the town is on the UNESCO world inheritance
list. Carcassonne has very warm summers and not really cold but still
wet winters. Its situation on the river in the valley makes it
somewhat more humid than in the rest of the region every now and then.
