The climate of the French Alps (France)
The French Alpes make the western part of the Alpine region and is
situated in the east to south-east of France. In the
winterperiod this region is a very popular wintersport region. Not
surprising in view of the snowfall in the months of November up
to and including April. The Alps have a land climate, apart from the
cold winters the sun shines abundantly in the summer. The
temperature can increase considerably in the valley. On the slopes it
remains a bit fresh but there is plenty of sunshine there.
