The climate of Languedoc-Roussillon (France)
Languedoc-Roussillon consists of the historic French provinces of
Languedoc and Roussillon. To those also belong the districts of
Rouergue and Albigeois, the Cevennes with the National Park Cevennes,
the Causses, the Camargue, the Minervois and the valley of
the Rhône. This splendid region is one of the warmest of France and
with particularly very warm summers. However the weather can
differ very much from place to place in the region. On the coast it is
generally somewhat sunnier, the mountains are colder and in the
vallies of the region there is more precipitation than in other
places.
