The climate of Lourdes (France)
Lourdes is a very well-known place of pilgrimage in the department
Pyrénées-Atlantiques. The village with more pilgrims than inhabitants
lies at the foot of the Pyrenées and therefore the climate is strongly
influenced by this mountain range. Due to its situation on the
weather-side of the mountain the precipitation often keeps hanging
over Lourdes. This often causes rain here. However this will keep few
pilgrims from visiting this holy place.
