The climate of Cochem (Germany)
Cochem is a small city located in the southwestern part of Germany in
Rhineland Palatinate. The city attracts many tourists. Cochem is
nicely located on the banks of the Mosel River. The skyline of the
city is determined by many old houses and the Imperial Castle. Trips
along the Rhine and Mosel often pass this city. Cochem has been well
preserved and is a very cosy city. During the summer it is very nice
to stroll along the Mosel Boulevard. The surroundings of the city
are very popular among walkers and hikers, cyclists and
motorcyclists. Cochem has a mild maritime climate. On the steep
slopes wine is produced. Winters are failry mild. However, subzero
temperatures are not uncommon. Precipitation figures are high during
spring and fall. Because the city is located in a valley extreme
weather conditions such as storms are uncommon. Summers are pleasant
and sunny.
