The climate of Tubingen (Germany)
Tubingen is a small city located centrally in the
federal state of Baden Wurttemberg on the banks of the Neckar River.
Tubingen is a real student city, about 20% of its inhabitants are
students. The first records of the city date back to the second part
of the 11th century. However, prior to this period the region was
already inhabited. At the end of the 15th century the Eberhard-Karls
University was founded which is still one of the most respected
universities in Germany. About 25,000 students attend this
university. Tubingen has a moderate maritime climate influenced by
the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Because of these influences
extremes in weather are uncommon. There are small differences in
average temperatures between summer and winter. Precipitation
figures are highest during the summer. During the summer one in
every two days is a rainy day.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
