The climate of Agra (India)
Agra is one of the highlights of many a trip through India. Not
because of the town itself , which is a rather depressing experience
but because of the unequalled beauty of the Taj Mahal. In spite of the
fact that this attraction appears on almost every picture postcard of
India it ís really one of the most beautiful edifices in the world.
The mausoleum was built in the 17th century and is one of the
highlights of the Moghul architecture. This dynasty has also left
beautiful edifices on more locations in the town. The climate in Agra
is like the warm China climate. This causes extreme weather
conditions. The temperature in the summermonths is extremely high and
very unpleasant whereas the wintermonths can be very cold. Agra has a
monsoon period from July up to and including September. The
summermonths and the rainperiod are less suitable for a visit.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
