The climate of Trivandrum (India)
Trivandrum is also known as Thiruvananthapuram and is the capital of
the federal state of Kerala. The town is the home base of some
important technological and scientific in stitutes namely Vikram
Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Technopark, the Indian Institute of
Space Science and Technology and the Indian Institute of Science.
Trivandrum is an important centre for technology. Already from the
16th century various universities have been founded here and
Trivandrum became an important cultural and scientific town.
The climate of Trivandrum balances between a monsoon climate and a
savannah climate. As a consequence of this no really big differences
can be indicated between the seasons. In the summermonths it is more
humid than in the other months. It can also rain however, only January
and February are somewhat drier. The temperature is constant and very
high throughout the year.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
