The climate of Bari (Italy)
Bari is the capital of the Bari province and the Apulia region located
in the southern part of Italy at the top of the heel of the boot. Bari
is an important port on the Adriatic coast with ferries to Durrës in
Albania, Dubrovnik in Croatia and Bar in Montenegro. Many cruise lines
make a stop-over in Bari. Bari has a university. The historic center
with its countless squares, churches and the Norman-Swabian castle
have all been preserved very well. Modern Bari is known for its
remarkable rectangular street pattern. During the winter snow falls on
a regular basis and snow chains are necessary. Bari has a moderate
Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers. Rainfall is
average with a peak at the turn of the year.
