The climate of Calabria (Italy)
Calabria is a region at the most southern tip of the Italian boot, its
capital is Cantanzaro. The region is divided into five provinces. The
sea water here is very clear and many tourists travel to this region.
Nature here is truly astonishing. In the interior several nature
reserves can be found. Calibria has a Mediterranean sea climate with
mild winters and warm and sunny summers. Because of the location of
Calibria in the most southern tip of Italy a Sirocco may occur. This
desert wind may bring warm air from the Sahara to Europe which may
last for up to three days. Differences in temperature may be as much
as 10 degrees Celsius. During the night temperatures will remain high
as well. The dust may cause inconvenience.
