The climate of Malindi (Kenya)
Malindi is a large city located in the southeastern part of Kenya on the Indian Ocean. Malindi is situated in the province of Pwani on the Athi Galana Sabaki River. The main source of income is tourism and to a lesser degree fishing. Most tourists come here to enjoy the beautiful beaches and long sunny days. Angling is a popular activity here. Malindi Park, Watamu, Arabuko Sokeke Forest and Hell’s Kitchen are all situated in the interior.
Malindi has a tropical monsoon climate with a distinct and a less distinct rainy period. Most precipitation falls during spring, the winter is the driest season. Temperatures are around 30 degrees Celsius on average; during the warmest days an ever blowing sea breeze offers some cooling.
