The climate of Nanyuki (Kenya)
Nanyuki is centrally located in Kenya in the Bonde la Ufa province.
The city is very popular among tourists who use Nanyuki as a starting
point to visit Mount Kenya or one of the many reserves or safari parks
that are situated in the vicinity of the city. In the vicinity of
Nanyuki Mount Kenya National Park, Sweetwaters Gam Reserve, Lewa
Wildlife Conservancy, Samburu National Reserve and Shaba National
Reserve can be found. The population of Nanyuki uses the meltwater
from Mount Kenya as drinking water. Nanyuki has a tropical monsoon
climate which is cooler than you may expect. This is caused by the
higher altitude at which the city is situated. Precipitation figures
are reasonably high, rain falls in two different periods. April and
November are the wettest months on average.
