The climate of Vang Vieng (Laos)
Vang Vieng is a small town located in the western part of Laos. The
city is very popular among back packers who travel here to enjoy the
beautiful scenery. Many bars, hotels and restaurants can be found in
the city. In the vicinity of the city you can go rock climbing,
canoeing and rafting. The city is situated in a valley and is ideal
for people who want to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Vang Vieng has a
tropical savannah climate with a dry and a wet period. Most rain falls
from May till September. The rest of the year is relatively dry.
However, the occasional shower may fall during this period.
Temperatures are fairly high all year round with a small peak during
the rainy period.
