The climate of Cozumel (Mexico)
The island of Cozumel is situated east of the Yucatan peninsula,
Mexico. Cozumel is the largest island in Mexico with a surface area of
760 square kilometers. Cozumel has a subtropical climate or a warm
maritime climate. Cozumel has two distinct seasons. Relatively wet
summers with a reasonable amount of sunshine. This combination causes
humidity figures to be high. The rest of the year precipitation
figures are low, temperatures are pleasant and humidity figures are
lower as well, in short: blue skies guaranteed. Cozumel is famous
among divers because Jacques Cousteau classified this island among the
best 5 diving locations in the world. Many American cruise lines make
their stopover here. Because of the isolated situation of the island
endemic species of mammals live here. These species often are much
smaller than their relatives on the mainland.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
