The climate of Koror (Palau)
Koror is one of the sixteen states in the Republic of Palau. The
main island is Koror. The largest city of Palau and the former capital
Koror is situated on the island. Koror is connected to the island of
Babeldoab by the Koror-Babeldoab bridge. The island of Koror is the
most densely populated island in Palau. In the city Koror alone about
70% of the total population of Palau live. The main source of income
of the islands is tourism. Many tourists come here to go diving or
snorkeling. Koror has a tropical rainforest climate with high
precipitation figures all year round. Daytime temperatures are just
above 30 degrees Celsius all year round. This combination causes high
humidity figures. The ever blowing wind offers some cooling. The
temperature of the sea is very pleasant all year round. During the
second part of the year there is a risk of tropical storms and
depressions.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
