The climate of Szczecin (Poland)
Szczecin is the capital of Pomerania. Szczecin has been a trading city
from the 5th century. Many conquerors tried to invade the city because
of its central situation on the Baltic Sea. The city was an important
port for Berlin for a long time. The city has been partially restored.
Several beautiful buildings can be admired here. The climate here is a
little bit milder than in other areas in Poland because of the
influence of the sea. During the summer this moderates temperatures.
Winters are cold. However, because of the influence of the sea it will
not get as cold as in other places in Poland.
