The climate of Wroclaw (Poland)
Wroclaw is located on the banks of the river Oder in the Silesia
province in the south western part of Poland. Wroclaw has a beauriful
old city center. The city center suffered in WWII, but was almost
completely restored in its original style. You can enjoy many cultural
activities in Wroclaw; several operas and operettas are performed in
one of the many theaters. Wroclaw also has a national museum where you
can admire the works of several Polish artists. A 120 meter wide and
15 meter high painting of the battle of Raclawice, called The
Racławice Panorama, can be admired here. A separate wing was built to
exhibit this painting. Wroclaw has a moderate continental climate.
Summers are pleasantly warm with temperatures just above 20 degrees
Celsius on average. Winters can be cold; temperatures will be around
freezing point on average. An easterly wind may cause a colder feel.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
