The climate of East London (South Africa)
East London (also referred to as Oos Londen) lies on the east coast of
South Africa. This area is also known as Sunshine Coast. East London
is the second largest city on the east coast. This city offers a
museum a large Zoo and the largest aquarium in Africa. East London’s
coastline has beautiful beaches that attract many surfers because of
the big waves. However, this is not without danger. Especially in July
you have the chance of coming across a great white shark. East London
has a moderate sea climate which is very suitable for sunbathing on
the beautiful beaches. Winters are moderate and not too cold. Summers
are warm and dry. Precipitation occurs mostly during summer months.
During autumn and spring rainfall is not uncommon because of the big
difference in temperature between land and sea.
