The climate of George (South Africa)
George lies on the south side of the Outeniqua mountain range in
West-Cape province. George is a good starting point to visit
Tsitsikamma National Reserve. George offers several beautiful golf
courses. George lies on the Garden Route which is one of South
Africa’s most beautiful and most popular routes. This route starts in
Cape Town in West-Cape and ends in Port Elizabeth in East-Cape and is
just over 200 kilometres long.
George has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers and mild to cold
winters. This is one of the areas in South Africa with the most
rainfall in a year. Most of the rain falls during winter months. Most
of the rain comes in via the Indian Ocean. George can be visited the
whole year. During the winter it is a peaceful and relaxed place.
During the summer it is an exhilarating place.
