The climate of Rustenburg (South Africa)
Rustenburg is located in the north western part of South Africa about
110 kilometers west from Pretoria. The Rustenburg National Reserve and
the Magaliesburg Natural Reserve are in the vicinity. You can see big
game here (the big five). Several hiking tracks can be enjoyed here.
This is one of the oldest places in the area.
Rustenburg has a moderate savannah climate. This means winters are
mild. Subzero temperatures may occur during the evening and night
time. During the day temperatures are around a pleasant 20 degrees
Celsius. During the winter months snow is uncommon and little
precipitation can be expected. During the summer temperatures are
higher just as humidity figures are. The number of rainy days and dry
days are equal. Even on dry days the high humidity figures are
responsible for a muggy feel. 25 millimeters of rain falls per week on
average.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
