The climate of Skukuza (South Africa)
Skukuza is situated in the Krugerpark and is seen as its capital. Many
tourists use this place for an overnight stay in the park. Several
accommodations and restaurants can be found here. A large group of
elephants live in the vicinity and a family of hippos live in a nearby
river. If you are unfortunate you might experience the squabble
between two groups of baboons.
Skukuza has a moderate savannah climate which is also known as a China
climate. Summers are long and wet. During the summer temperatures are
around 22 degrees Celsius on average. Winters are dry. Temperatures
are not too cold. Subzero temperatures only occur at ground level.
Bear in mind that seasons are opposite of ours just as they are in the
rest of South Africa.
