The climate of A Coruña (Spain)
La Coruña or A Coruña according to the official spelling is a large
city located in the northwestern part of Spain in the Galicia region.
The city is situated on the Atlantic Ocean in the A Coruña province.
The only operable lighthouse dating back to Roman times can be found
here. The Torre de Hercules became the symbol of the city because of
this. Among other attractions in the city are: the city hall A Coruña,
Castillo de San Anton and the Palaciao Municipal de María Pita. The
main source of income for the city is the harbor where fish is traded.
La Coruña has a moderate maritime climate strongly influenced by the
Atlantic Ocean. Because of this summers are warm but not too hot
because of an ever blowing sea wind. During fall and winter
precipitation figures are high making La Coruña one of the wettest
cities in Spain. Because of the sea wind daytime temperatures hardly
ever drop below 7 degrees Celsius (44.6 degrees Fahrenheit). High
precipitation figures result in a luscious green countryside full of
diversity.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
