The climate of Altea (Spain)
Altea is located in the eastern part of Spain in the Valencia province
on the Costa Blanca. It is a popular seaside resort on the
Mediterranean Sea visited by many tourists every year. The village is
also a popular destination for people to spend the winter months.
Altea is a beautiful characteristic village with several preservation
sights. Altea has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm
and dry summers. The climate of this seaside resort is strongly
influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. Precipitation figures are low.
Most precipitation falls during the winter. Because of its situation
skies are mostly clear while several kilometers into the interior
skies are overcast. This is because of the mountainous region west of
the city.
