The climate of Maspalomas (Canary
Islands / Spain)
Next to Playa des Ingles the newer seaside resorts Maspalomas and
Costa Melanoras can be found. These seaside resorts are targeted at
the well-to-do. Tourists that travel to these places on Gran Canaria
do so because of guaranteed sunshine and minimum daytime temperatures
of at least 20 degrees Celsius (68.0 degrees Fahrenheit). This in
combination with many hours of sunshine and low precipitation figures
make this part of the island very suitable for sunbathing and
swimming. If you travel to Costa Meloneras or Maspalomas during
another period than summer we advise you to bring a sweater or
cardigan for the evenings. Especially during the winter and during
early spring it may be cold during the evening.
