The climate of L'Ampolla (Spain)
L’Ampolla is a small tourist village on the Costa Dorada in the
northeastern part of Spain in the southeastern part of the Catalonia
region. The village is located in the Tarragona province on the
Mediterranean Sea. Not only is the village known for its beautiful
beaches, but also for the Laguna de les Olles. This Lagoon is part of
the Delta Ebro National Park. Several walking trails can be enjoyed in
this park. Originally L’Ampolla is a fishing village and still every
day fishing boats dock here. The harbor is also used as a marina.
L’Ampolla has a Mediterranean climate influenced by the Mediterranean
Sea. Average daytime temperatures during the summer are just below 30
degrees (86 degrees Fahrenheit). During the winter average daytime
temperatures are around 16 degrees Celsius (60.8 degrees Fahrenheit).
Average precipitation figures are low all year round with an exception
of the autumn when long lasting precipitation is not uncommon.
