The climate of L'Estartit (Spain)
L’Estartit is a popular tourist destination located in the
northeastern part of Spain on the Costa Brava. The city is very
popular among divers because a small group of islands is situated off
the coast here. These Illes Medes were used by pirates who were active
in this region of the Mediterranean Sea. The old fishing harbor is
still in use. Te harbor is also used as a marina and everyone is
welcome. For those who can´t dive glass bottom boats tours are
organized. L’Estartit has a Mediterranean climate strongly influenced
by the Mediterranean Sea. Because of this influence extremes in
weather are uncommon. Especially summers are very pleasant here.
During the winter night time temperatures may be low. However, in
general winters are mild. Average precipitation figures are low with a
peak during late fall.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
