The climate of Pamplona (Spain)
Pamplona is located in the northwestern part of Spain in the Navarra
region on the banks of the Arga River. Pamplona is mainly known for
the Running of the Bulls during the San Fermin festival. The Running
of the Bulls is only a small part of this nine day festival. Pamplona
is a beautiful old Spanish city. Among the most beautiful buildings in
Pamplona are La Catedral Basilica de Santa Maria la Real, the Palacio
de Navarra and the medieval church Iglesia de San Saturnino. Pamplona
is situated where the Mediterranean climate changes into a continental
climate. This means it is cooler here than in other parts of Spain.
The climate of Pamplona is also strongly influenced by the Pyrenees
and the Mediterranean Sea. Winters may be cold and wet, summers may be
very warm.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
