The climate of Rosas (Spain)
Rosas is situated in the northern part of the
Costa Blanca. It is also
one of the most northerly located and oldest seaside resorts in Spain.
The city is situated on the Bay of Rosas after which it was named. The
city has a population of only 20,000. However, during the summer about
five times this number inhabits the city. Just outside the city the
famous El Bulli restaurant can be found. This restaurant is owned by
chef Ferran Adirà and was voted best restaurant in the world several
times. Rosas has a pleasant Mediterranean climate with warm summers
and mild winters. The climate is strongly influenced by the
Mediterranean Sea. Because of this influence extremes in weather are
uncommon. During the warmest days of the year an ever blowing sea
breeze offers some cooling. Rain may fall all year round. However,
chances of rain are smaller during the summer.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
