The climate of Winterthur (Switzerland)
Winterthur is located in the northern part of Switzerland at 20
kilometers from Zürich. The city is situated in a valley and is also
known as the treasury of Switzerland because of the many museums and
its rich history. The many small streets invite you to stroll through
the city. It is very pleasant to stay in one of the cafés till late in
the evening. During the summer most precipitation falls. During the
winter precipitation falls in the form of snow. Winterthur is located
at an altitude of 439 meters and is one of the lower situated cities
in Switzerland. This causes temperatures to be much higher during
summer, around 20 degrees Celsius.
