The climate of Lubbock (Texas - United States of America)
Lubbock is a large city located in the northwestern part of the state of Texas. The region in which the city is located is known as the South Plains. The main source of income for the city is agriculture. Mainly cotton is cultivated in this region, it is even the biggest cotton producer in the world. Lubbock Christian University, Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Sciences Center are based In the urban area of the city. Lubbock has a warm steppe climate. winters are very dry. Precipitation that does fall during the winter mainly falls in the form of sleet or snow. Most precipitation can be recorded during the summer. However, precipitation figures are still low during this period. Lubbock is located in Tornado Alley.
