The climate of Dubai (United Arab Emirates)
The sun is ever present in Dubai, precipitation is scarce and it is
always warm here. During the winter months temperatures are pleasant
which makes Dubai an ideal winter sun destination. During the summer
it is extremely warm here. Most of the wealthy residents flee the
emirate during this period. Whoever has been in Dubai during the
months of July or August knows how hot the weather can be here. It
can’t be compared to popular seaside resorts on the Mediterranean
coast. The climate is much hotter and muggier here. The only places
where the heat is bearable are the places with air-conditioning, in
the sea or in a pool. Whoever goes out onto the streets during the day
will soon be soaked in sweat. Dubai has a desert climate with warm and
dry winters and even warmer and drier summers. As opposed to inland
desert areas temperatures in Dubai remain high during the night. This
is caused by the warm sea water. During the summer temperatures hardly
go below 30 degrees Celsius within 24 hours.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
