The climate of Livingstone (Zambia)
Livingstone is located in the southwestern part of Zambia in the
vicinity of the border with Zimbabwe in the Eastern province.
Livingstone is also located in the vicinity of the borders with
Botswana and Namibia. The city was named after the British explorer
David Livingstone. The widest waterfalls in Africa, the Victoria Falls
are in the vicinity. Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is also in the
vicinity and is very popular for its safaris. Livingstone has a warm
steppe climate. Precipitation figures are slightly lower here than in
the more northerly located places in the country. However, Livingstone
still has a distinct wet and a distinct dry season. Daytime
temperatures are just above 30 degrees Celsius on average.
