The climate of Mutare (Zimbabwe)
Mutare is a large city located in the eastern part of Zimbabwe in the
province of Manicaland. Mutare is located in the vicinity of the
border with Mozambique. Mutare is situated in the vicinity of the
Vumba mountain range and the Nyanga mountain range which are both very
popular among walkers and hikers. Cecil Kopje Reserve is in the
vicinity of the city. Mutare has a tropical savannah climate with most
precipitation during the local summer. This area gets more
precipitation than the more westerly located places in Zimbabwe.
Temperatures are pleasant, because of the altitude at which the city
is situated it doesn’t get too hot here. During the winter night time
temperatures may be cold.
