The climate of Tikehau (French Polynesia)
Tikehau is an elliptically shaped atoll in the Pacific and is part of
French Polynesia. Tikehau is part of the Palliser Islands Group,
consisting of 9 atolls. The atoll was discovered in the beginning of
the 19th century by a Russian explorer. Nowadays Tikehau is a popular
tourist destination within French Polynesia. The atoll has an airport
and a luxurious tourist resort. The beaches here are beautiful and
have a pink glow.
Tikehau has a tropical rainforest climate with high
precipitation figures all year round. In combination with high
temperatures this causes humidity figures to be high as well. However,
an ever blowing sea breeze offers some cooling. The temperature of the
sea is pleasant all year round and very suitable for swimming.

More climate information
Climate figures are very useful but don’t present a general impression
of the climate and the eventual weather circumstances within a certain
period. The figures don’t always reflect the chance of wintry weather,
extreme heat or hurricanes. That is why we offer useful extra climate
information for each month of the year:
