The climate of Tallahassee (Florida - United States of America)
Tallahassee is located in the northeastern part of Florida near Apalachicola National Forest which is the largest forest in Florida. Several springs can be found here. Their water flows into the many streams and rivers which can be found in this national park. Tallahassee has distinct seasons.
Summers have subtropical temperatures. Because of the rapid warming of the earth heavy thunderstorms are not uncommon. There is also a risk of hurricanes in this region. On average once every 17 years the region gets hit by a hurricane. Winters are mild. During the winter subzero temperatures may occur. However, during the winter fierce winds may blow which causes things to feel colder than they actually are. In general, the climate of Tallahassee is fairly mild.
